RE: dometic recall
I also just had the Re-call fix completed. I called a local repair job handling the recall about 6-7 miles away, I took it down there within 10 minutes of my phone call and I was back home within an hour afterwards. I chalked it up to the economy getting it done so quickly.

Just my two cents...
Your first choice "Carpeteria" is a good one, you might squeeze into one of their hook up sites, if not, they have several that will accomadate your rig. Tough spot to get into, so be ready when the window of oppurtunity opens. Other choice's in that area would be Emma Wood State Park, El Capitan State Park, Refugio State Park, Gaviota State Park...to name a few.
In the Big Sur area, I can only speak to Big Sur State Park....another Good choice. I use to go there every summer. Try to get a site by the River although many of the outer sites are on the small side...the inner sites tend to be larger. Follow the River up stream to the swimming hole (keep in mind , I havent been in a few years) but I believe everything is still intact.
Morro Bay State Park is also a "Sweet" location. Most sites there will accept your rig. In that area you also have Pismo Beach State Park which actually ends up being three separate locations, one of which has electric and water...that name slips my mind at this time but Im sure someone will chime in with it.
New Brighton...hmmmm never been, but have tried to make reservations on several occassions with negative results.

WOW....so many get so "wrapped up" in this. The OP had a bad experience that probably should have been handled at the resort. Im certainly not a defender of WDW although if I were going again, I would opt to stay at the Resort, Not Wal-Mart. If the price is beyond your comfort point...there are plenty of options and I for one am NOT drinking WDW Kool-Aide but just like anything else, its nice to stay on site opposed to traveling to and fro each day. My experience was over 12 years ago and I used their transportation each of the 8 days I was there, I slept soundly at night in a tent....all in all, Had a Great time. To each his own....

I dont have a "Dog" is this fight one way or another although I did tent camp at WDW about 14 years ago and Loved it...back then even your Kennel fee's were included in your stay at the campground.
IMHO.....with the prices that are at WDW, there is NO excuse for not hiding or disguising electrical boxes, trash bins and such so that they are not so readily visible. Lets face it, they can do some pretty amasing and innovative hardscapes/landscapes within the Park, no reason the camping area should suffer at any Site!

I could be wrong, but I think I saw the sign there yesterday too(Sunday) although I always strain my eyes to see if any ground breaking has taken place.....the simple answer is NO....nothing has occurred on site. I was looking forward to having CW alot closer too....hopefully it will happen.

Thank You, thats some good info to have handy about the peroxide. I am rather amased on just how resilent Mollie was about all this. I expected a rather messy event both in and out of the house, but she managed to take care of business in the back yard whenever she needed to expel something. Thanks again

OK...A `quick Update. After geting home today, I immediately went into the back yard to see if there was anymore signs of Vomit and such. Im very Happy to report, there was plenty and this time I could see the foil in both Vomit and stool's. From the amount I observed, I think most have it has passed through her system and she seems just fine. Im taking it easy on feeding her right now but her appetite is still Good and she is drinking water......Im hoping the worst has passed. Now, you can bet Ill be putting everything out of Miss Mollie's reach...she has never done anything like this before....My only thought is that my Wife is on a cruise with some friends and this was Mollie's way of telling me something was missing.

Hi all
A somewhat serious question although Ill preface it by saying I already called the Vet.
Mollie(our 18 pound King Charles) ate about 20+ Calcium chews(people calcium), the artifical choccolate variety which come wrapped in a aluminum/paper wrap. She did this sometime between 7am and 2pm today. I checked outside to look for vomit and found at least two fairly large amounts and a couple of loose Bowel movements. She seems Fine this evening..perky as ever. The Vet told me to monitor her to see if there are any signs of distress. Obviously Im still worried...Not only because of the rather small amounts of Choc, but the Calcium and particularily the foil backed paper. I guess Im just looking for anything further than what the Vet offered.
Thanks for taking the time to read my dilemma.

It was another Great Rally....Thanks to all.
I took it easy today and only did three wine tastings...but nothing tops the Fun that was had with the group Wine tastings Saturday.
Brian and Susan....Love the new screen name here...so very appropriate.
I need to have that Pic of Terry, Don and I (our son Terry) put on the back of a milk carton stating that we havent seen our son since he left home at the age of 42...hehe lol
